Ol Perkins has joined UEA as a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow working with Naomi Vaughan. Ol is a modeller whose work focuses on coupling global agent-based models of land use decision making with dynamic global vegetation models. Their fellowship aims to quantify feasibility constraints on land-based carbon removal through the LandSyMM project (https://landsymm.earth/). Ol has previously worked on modelling adaptation to changing wildfire regimes through ABM coupling with the JULES land surface model.
