I hold a PhD from the School of International Development at the University of East Anglia, where my research focused on the land tenure dynamics and land politics of dam displacement in Northern Sudan. I also have an MSc in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security, and a BA in International Development, both from the University of East Anglia.
Currently, I serve as Project Coordinator at Norfolk and Waveney Mind, leading the Sustain Project, which supports individuals experiencing eco-anxiety and climate grief. A key component of this project is the Mindfulness and Active Hope Course, which I have co-designed and co-facilitated for three consecutive years. This six-week program, aimed at university and school students, fosters resilience and helps participants navigate the emotional challenges of climate change.
In addition, I have facilitated a Work That Reconnects workshop, inspired by the work of Joanna Macy, in the blue zone at COP26 in Glasgow. My ongoing work reflects a deep interest in the intersection of personal and societal transformation, a theme I explore through various workshops and events.
With a background in both social sciences and environmental issues, I am committed to bridging the individual and collective aspects of climate action and resilience, aligning with the broader goals of fostering informed and sustainable responses to climate challenges.
