Abdulsalam Alotaibi

PhD Researcher

Abdulsalam is a PhD researcher at Norwich Business School, University of East Anglia. He is a member of the Employment Systems and Institutions Research Group at Norwich Business School. His research focuses on the sustainability of businesses, with a particular emphasis on small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises (SMEs) in developing countries. Abdulsalam investigates the challenges these businesses face in engaging with sustainability discussions and implementing sustainable practices. His work explores how sustainable supply chains can enhance the environmental, economic, and social performance of SMEs, and examines the role of collaboration between large suppliers and public authorities in supporting these efforts.

 Prior to joining UEA, Abdulsalam was a lecturer at the Faculty of Business Administration at the University of Tabuk in Saudi Arabia. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and Supply Chain Management from Jacksonville University in the United States and a Bachelor’s degree in Management from Taif University in Saudi Arabia.

 Abdulsalam’s research interests are centered on advancing sustainable development in business, with a particular focus on addressing the unique challenges faced by underrepresented sectors and regions.
