I am a PhD researcher at Newcastle University, working on sub-daily extreme rainfall in Indonesia. My research examines the spatial and temporal characteristics of extreme rainfall and the climate drivers and convective environments associated with these events. I am particularly interested in how large-scale climate variability and regional atmospheric processes interact to influence short-duration rainfall extremes across Indonesia. Through this work, I aim to improve the understanding and predictability of extreme rainfall in a region that is highly exposed to weather-related hazards.
