Olatundun Gafari

Dr Olatundun Gafari is a Senior lecturer at the University of Southampton and Equity Lead for the NIHR Southampton Biomedical Research Centre. Originally trained as a nutritionist and dietitian, her research focuses on improving nutrition and reducing health inequalities through systems and community-based approaches, particularly among underserved communities. She has contributed to research and programmes across the UK and sub-Saharan Africa, working closely with stakeholders to co-produce evidence that informs policy and practice. Her current research interests include adolescent nutrition, micronutrient deficiencies and climate change. She also contributes to public health education on the University of Southampton’s Master of Public Health programme.
