Mustafa Alobaid

PhD Researcher

Mustafa is a PhD researcher in Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research at The University of Manchester. Mustafa is currently working on project that focuses on Enhancing Energy Efficiency of HVAC Systems. The project is supervised by Dr Jaise Kuriakose and Dr Andrew Welfle.

Mustafa holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Building Services Engineering from Leeds Beckett University and a Master of Arts in Architecture and Urbanism from Manchester School of Architecture. Prior to the bachelor and the master, Mustafa had a diploma in the filed Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning form College of Technology at Dammam, Saudi Arabia. With a strong passion for sustainability in building and effective energy strategies, Mustafa focuses on the integration of energy-efficient systems and sustainable building services in the built environment & architectural design.

My professional experience as both an architectural engineer and a building services engineer has allowed them to bridge the gap between design and functionality, ensuring that buildings are not only aesthetically pleasing but also environmentally responsible.

Committed to advancing knowledge in building services and architecture field, Mustafa is deeply engaged in academic research, exploring innovative ways to improve the sustainability and efficiency of building systems particularly HVAC systems.
