Mr Zhang Kaihuang is currently a PhD student in the School of Geography and the Environment at the University of Southampton, where he is funded by the China Scholarship Council (CSC). Kaihuang holds a BSc degree from Guangdong University of Finance and Economics and a MSc degree from Guangzhou University.
His research has long focused on the innovation and development of China’s high-tech industries, particularly the technological development, innovation networks and landscape evolution of China’s new energy vehicle industry. Kaihuang’s PhD research focuses on the role of venture capital in local development. At the same time, regional economic resilience is also one of his interest.
