Jiatong Han

PhD Researcher

Jiatong Han is a PhD researcher in Geography and Environmental Science at the University of Southampton. Her research focuses on how population mobility, environmental change, and climatic conditions shape the introduction and transmission of dengue in non-endemic and emerging-risk regions.

Her work combines epidemiological, mobility, environmental, and digital data to investigate the spatial and temporal dynamics of infectious disease risk. She is particularly interested in tourism-driven mobility, post-pandemic travel patterns, imported infections, and the environmental conditions that facilitate local transmission.
