Gana Kusuma

PhD Researcher

Gana is a PhD researcher at Tyndall Manchester. His research focuses on decarbonisation of Indonesia’s electricity sector, combining environmental assessment using life cycle assessment (LCA) and techno-economic analysis. His research interests include the transition of electricity systems to low-carbon sources at the national level.

Currently on study leave, he has been working at Indonesia’s state-owned electricity enterprise since 2017. Gana’s past work includes feasibility studies for power plants and corporate transformation projects, particularly in primary energy and renewable energy development. His research goal is to collaborate with Indonesia’s policymakers to address policy gaps and develop pathways towards a decarbonised electricity system.
