I am a PhD Researcher in Environmental Psychology at the University of Bath.
My current research explores how people’s emotional responses to nature may shape their attitudes towards nature and their willingness to take environmental action. Specifically, my PhD project focuses on (1) how and when self-transcendent emotions (e.g. awe, gratitude, compassion) may foster greater nature connection, pro-environmental attitudes and behaviours, and, (2) on the development of interventions to foster self-transcendent emotions in everyday nature experiences.
I have an MSc in Environmental Psychology from the University of Surrey and have been involved in projects exploring environmental emotions relating to climate change and biodiversity loss, LGBTQ+ people’s experiences of nature, and the impact of nature-based interventions on personal and planetary health.
