Briony Latter

Affiliate Member of the Tyndall Centre, Research Associate

Dr Briony Latter is a Research Associate at the Centre for Climate Change and Social Transformations (CAST) at Cardiff University. Her work covers climate change communication/public engagement, the arts & culture and sports sectors, and social transformations across different sectors and scales. She is interested in interdisciplinary working and is focused on having real-world impact, which has led her to work across academia, organisations and freelance.

Briony is interested in how to broaden engagement and action on climate change and work with those who are not usually part of the climate conversation. Her research has involved working with a wide range of people (e.g. different members of the public, hairdressers, sportspeople, older people, young adults, policymakers and practitioners, organisations) and topics (e.g. live music, arts and culture, photography, travel/transport, sport, climate justice, Higher Education, food, circular economy, cost of living). Before moving into research, she worked in communications and the creative industry.
