Alice Brock is a PhD researcher at the University of Southampton, School of Geography and Environmental Science, funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) South Coast Doctoral Training Partnership. Alice’s research explores and analyses the concept of Personal Carbon Budget policy interventions and the barriers and challenges to the public in reducing personal carbon emissions.
Alongside her PhD Alice is the Sustainable Development Goals Project Officer for the University of Southampton’s Sustainability and Resilience Institute. Alice has a BSc in Environmental Science and a MSc in Social Research Methods both from the University of Southampton.
Alice has been interviewed by the BBC and national newspapers, appeared as an expert on BBC World Service’s the Climate Question and local radio and contributed to sustainability podcasts. Alice has appeared as a sustainability and carbon expert on panels and given lectures on the climate crisis and carbon emissions. Alice has worked on a variety of carbon related Policy projects with academic and local government bodies and e-waste related public engagement projects during her PhD.
