Seventy local climate risk reports have been generated from the OpenCLIM project, a national scale integrated modelling framework for the UK. These accessible reports focus on key risk metrics for heat stress, drought and flooding, biodiversity, and crops, at approximately county-scale.
Following feedback from local stakeholders, these OpenCLIM reports provide an initial summary of local climate risks, from which more detailed risk analysis can be planned, and additional data can be sourced. These reports can help local authorities, service providers, infrastructure operators, and others, who are newly thinking about climate risk, to understand possible impacts under 2°C or 4°C of warming (above pre-industrial) in the 2050s and 2080s.

OpenCLIM local climate risk reports were developed with funding from the MACC Hub program. The Tyndall Centre will be delivering local climate risk and adaptation workshops in England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, on behalf of the program.
