Xiaobin is a PhD Researcher at the Newcastle University. His interests cover flood risk, climate change, hydrology, water resources management, and engineering management. Among the several pressing research questions, now Xiaobin is focusing on improving flood risk management in small catchments under climate change and researching ways to examine and optimize investments and policies for flood risk management.
Xiaobin gained B.Sc (Resources, Environment and Urban-rural Planning Management) and M.Eng (Hydraulic Engineering) from Sun Yat-sen University, China. After that, Xiaobin has more than 5-year working experience in the industry related to urban construction and engineering management, while attaining professional qualifications including Certified Construction Engineer, Certified Cost Engineer, Legal Professional Qualification Certificate, etc.
