Natasha Senior

Post-Doctoral Researcher

Natasha is a postdoctoral researcher within the Climatic Research Unit at the University of East Anglia on the FORSEA project. This is a collaborative project between several UK institutions and partner countries in southeast Asia to improve forcasts of extreme weather in the Maritime Continent. Natasha’s current research interests involve studying the mechanisms through which equatorial waves can lead to rainfall extremes and how these may be better represented in forecast models.

Her past research interests have involved studying the urban heat island effect, tropical-extratropical teleconnections influencing global climate and zonal jet formation in the southern ocean.
