Keith is a PhD researcher based in the School of Engineering at Newcastle University. His research project, Developing Probabilistic Precipitation Datasets for Mountain Regions in a Changing Climate, is funded by NERC via the OnePlanet Doctoral Training Programme, a multi-disciplinary research group at Newcastle and Northumbria Universities. The aim of Keith’s project is to develop model-based inversion techniques to generate new precipitation datasets for mountain catchments, where there is high spatiotemporal variability, that can be useful for water resource planning and flood/drought management.
Keith has an MSc in Hydrology and Water Management and a BEng in Civil Engineering, both from Newcastle University. Prior to starting his PhD, Keith was a school teacher in Southampton and Northumberland, before which he worked for an engineering consultancy in Leeds.
