Ella Foggitt


Ella is a Research Associate working on the ‘Engaging Water Smart Communities’ project. The project aims to overcome significant challenges facing communities and the environment from frequent flood events, sustained droughts and impacts on water quality. Her role focuses on the design and governance of communities with alternative water supply and sewage systems.

Prior to joining Tyndall, she worked as a Research Associate at Lancaster University on projects examining a safe circular water economy. For her PhD at Lancaster University, she is examining everyday participation in environmental sanitation in Accra, Ghana.

She holds a master’s in Water, Sanitation and Health Engineering and a BA (Hons) International Development with International Relations from the University of Leeds.
