Clara Peiret-Garcia

PhD Researcher

Clara is a PhD researcher at the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Geospatial Systems, a collaborative partnership between Newcastle University and the University of Nottingham. Her research focuses on better understanding how the urban built environment affects accessibility to amenities via sustainable means of transport.

Her background is in Applied Economics, specifically in Regional and Local Economic Development, and her research interests lie in the areas of urban studies and sustainable mobility.

Before joining the CDT, she worked as a research assistant at IESE Business School and City, University of London. The projects in which she was involved focused on how cities are affected by new forms of urban governance, or how citizens perceptions on environmental hazards (e.g. air pollution) relate to observed environmental metrics.
