Alba Prados-Pascual

Postgraduate Researcher

Alba is a PhD Researcher within Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research and the School of Environmental Science (UEA) and an Associate Tutor in the School of International Development (UEA). Her current PhD research is exploring the integration of mitigation and adaptation objectives in the context of climate policy integration processes in the European Union. Structured as a qualitative nested research design, the research starts by looking at European Union level and how the political commitment to climate policy integration has evolved in the period 1990-2020. After that, the research focuses on the case study of three Member states to further explore to what extent, how and when they have committed themselves to implement CPI into adjacent policy areas such as transport and agriculture.

Prior to starting her PhD, Alba completed a MRes in Social Science Research Methods from UEA. Before that, she worked for a number of years in the public and private sectors in both environmental and climate change projects. Alba graduated from UAB (Spain) in BSc Environmental Science and holds a MA in Public policy from UAB-UPF-UB (Spain).
