Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research is looking for a Research Associate to join the Energy Revolution (EnergyREV) Consortium. This role is an exciting opportunity to explore existing and novel business models with potential to scale up new companies in the area of smart local energy provision.
The role includes doing a survey of ‘local smart’ energy companies about their current business models, followed by workshops with some of those companies about potential innovations in their business models. The post-holder will be based at the University of Manchester and work closely with partners at the University of Edinburgh and the University of Strathclyde, as well as with the work packages led by Imperial College London, University College London (UCL) and others. The Energy Revolution (EnergyREV) Consortium, funded by the UK Research & Innovation, is a collaboration between 22 universities, including more than 60 researchers working together to tackle the challenges around smart local energy systems from an interdisciplinary and whole-systems viewpoint. The Consortium provides an unprecedented breadth of expertise and depth of knowledge.
The post is full-time for 26 months, starting ideally in February 2020, and the application deadline is 11th February. For further details, please contact Dr Maria Sharmina at the University of Manchester, or go to https://www.jobs.manchester.ac.uk/displayjob.aspx?jobid=18457
