The School of Environmental Sciences (ENV) at UEA is seeking to recruit a Chair in Climate Change Science to complement existing expertise on the detection and understanding of observed trends in the Earth System and how these will evolve in the coming decades and beyond under a changing climate. Candidates with expertise in any aspect of global Climate Change Science are welcome to apply, including but not limited to expertise in observing and understanding the carbon cycle, climate dynamics, marine systems, extreme events; and in the detection and attribution of climate-driven trends in the Earth System.
As well as the vision and drive to lead the future development of climate change research, the successful candidate will be an excellent and enthusiastic teacher with a strong interest in developing and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in the School of Environmental Sciences.
Applicants will have publications in scientific journals that demonstrate international excellence and world-leading impact, and an established record in attracting research and studentship funding. A PhD (or equivalent qualification) is necessary, along with the ability to fulfil all essential elements of the person specification.
This indefinite, full time post is available as soon as possible.
