Exciting 3-year research positions on smart technology, energy and climate change

We’re looking for exceptional, highly motivated researchers with social and technical expertise to join a Marie Curie PhD training network on smart technologies, energy, climate change, and responsible AI. Successful applicants will be employed as research associates on a 3-year contract (with €60,000+ annual salary-equivalent + approx. €10,000+ annual research expenses), while also being enrolled as PhD candidates in the School of Environmental Sciences at the University of East Anglia, under the joint supervision of Dr Tom Hargreaves and Dr Charlie Wilson.

As well as direct PhD supervision, successful applicants will benefit from a wealth of training opportunities including international secondments and intensive summer schools as part of a cohort of 15 PhDs working in 8 leading research institutes across Europe. All applicants should have excellent educational qualifications obtained within the last 4 years in a relevant field, have strong interest in interdisciplinary research, be familiar with both quantitative and qualitative research methods, and must have been living outside the UK for at least 2 of the past 3 years.
