The Tyndall Centre for Climate Change at the University of East Anglia (UEA) is seeking a Communication Officer to join the team on a part-time basis.
The Tyndall Centre is a partnership of five UK Universities, led and coordinated by UEA. It was founded in 2000 to research what to do about the challenge of climate change.
In this role you will pro-actively lead the internal and external communications, predominantly online, but not limited to this. You will keep www.tyndall.ac.uk and social media up to date. Complete high-quality science writing and press releases. Find research stories, with some design for digital and print.
Your objective is to ensure a steady stream of new content to engage existing audiences and reach new ones. The Centre is gearing up for an international conference in September 2025, celebrating 25 years of climate change research. You will be joining a small team that helps to continue create significant reach and influence.
This part-time (0.55FTE, 20 hours per week) role is available from September 2024 on a fixed term basis for up to two years.
Closing date: 28th August 2024.
