UEA Climate Change Research Day 25 May

This is a UEA-only event to internally showcase some of UEA's latest climate change research and impact across our PhD, Post-Docs, Faculty and Staff. We begin with lunch and a poster show featuring the many UEA posters already prepared for Planet Under Pressure and other Conferences (please bring your posters along to share with your colleagues). Then we have talks on the latest research highlights from climate change researchers at the Norwich Business School, ENV, DEV, Psychology and MED, all followed by roundtable discussions. Bob Watson will close with the Blue Planet Prize Laureates' UNEP paper prepared in advance of Rio+20.

Short presentations by six people (eight to ten minutes each):

  • 13:40 Manoj Joshi, Lecturer in Climate Dynamics, (ENV/CRU): Projections of when temperature change will exceed 2°C
  • 13:50 Gavin Nobes, Senior Lecturer in Psychology (PSY) Developmental psychology of climate change: Children’s understanding of the causes, consequences and cures.
  • 14:00 Konstantinos Chalvatzis, Lecturer in Business and Climate Change,  (NBS): Energy supply security: main trends in selected European power markets
